Willow Creek Community Church, McHenry campus
Compassion Team
| Willow Creek has become a committed partner of ours by providing countless volunteer hours. Their manpower has enabled Blessing Barn to reach out to more donors and recipients than ever before. Many more people have been blessed due to their involvement, and sacrifice of their personal time. Their compassion team has spent hundreds of volunteer hours and hundreds of dollars in fixing up and repairing our previous storage and give-away facility, as well as at our current give-away barn. God bless all who volunteer for us. |
John Shulfer, owner of J.S Construction
| To our Red Barn "barnlord" since Oct. 2005 John Shulfer of J. S. Construction John was working in his warehouse on a day when we were driving around looking for a place to rent. We saw his "red barn". He was in his other building and the door was open, so we stopped in and asked if he would consider renting his barn. After thinking about if for a few days, he agreed. He also donated many items that were stored in it. This jump started our ability to store and organize our donations. He recently re-sided it and installed a garage door opener. He also has graciously allowed us to move our give-aways to his red barn.
Many, many thanks |
David Cameron
| David has hosted our monthly Saturday give-away on behalf of Willow Creek - McHenry campus for years now in buildings with little or no heat, after working 2nd or 3rd shifts, and through sickness. He has become a familiar and welcome face to our recipients, and a trusted and sacrificial volunteer to our organization.

Caleb Piggott
| Caleb has been the muscle for Blessing Barn since we opened our doors in 2005. He has been on the most pick-ups of donations, and deliveries of donations to recipients. He has worked in the coldest, and hottest of conditions. He has honed his carpentry skills with our saws and drills. He designed and made the storage racks we use for our give-away tubs, among other carpentry tasks. He has worked with Jason (below) on many projects. He is called in to duty after hours, and before hours in many cases. During this time he has gone to MCC and recently graduated from the University of Saint Francis.

| Meaghan Sunde | Meaghan has spent many hours on many different occasions, going back a couple years, running yard sales, and, bringing and delivering donations. |
Jason Weber
| Jason belongs to Fellowship of Faith. He has been a God-send to us, in bringing his carpentry skills to our previous white barn location where he completely repaired an old garage, weatherproofing and painting it with Caleb. He made shutters from old barn boards to close up open windows on another building, among other weatherproofing tasks he performed for us on that building as well.
